W. Clement Stone, founder of Success magazine once wrote, “the only people who truly embrace change are wet babies.” That sounds about right.
This year brings tremendous change to FCC. Two of our gifted, beloved pastors move to new ministries. Soon our office administrator, who knows everything that happens and how it is supposed to happen here, and is the embodiment of extravagant hospitality, will be retiring.
So what do we do in the midst of change?
We take a moment to stop and pray, to remember that God is the one really in charge, and trust that God can see things that we cannot. Faith, scripture says, is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. We know that no matter what the future holds our unseen God will be there waiting for us.
